This will be the first workshop held at TSRC devoted specifically to design and optimization of Distillation.

Topics will include, but are not limited to:
(1) Complete heat integration:
Equal Thermodynamic Distance (ETD Columns)
Equipartition of Forces (EOF Columns)
(2)Partial heat integrated columns
Heat exchanger design & implementation
(3) Multi-component systems
(4) Economic analysis
(5) Optimal heat exchange networks

The discussion will include both the pure thermodynamic point of view and the practical engineering point of view.
