In this workshop we would like to spend some time exploring what one has learned -- and what one can learn -- about liquids from such techniques. Topic could include studies of the behaviors of protic and aprotic liquids, liquid crystals, ionic liquids; insights into the linear and nonlinear susceptibilities of liquids; and the design and application of multi-dimensional experiments to the study of liquid dynamics.
The historic mining town of Telluride, nestled in the spectacular San Juan mountains in southwestern Colorado, provides a uniquely stimulating environment for scientific discussion. Talks (with ample question and answer periods) will be held in the Telluride Middle/High School. The schedule will allow free time for recreational activities. Summer workshops on several scientific topics are organized through the Telluride Science Research Center (TSRC).
Registration and housing arrangements should be made at the official TSRC web site, as explained below. The site also contains other useful information.
