Workshop Details
Breaking and Making Bonds with Light (registration includes Monday lunch)
07/02/2012 - 07/06/2012
Meeting Description:

The scientific focus of the proposed workshop is photochromic compounds and materials. The purpose of this workshop is to bring academic and industrial researchers together from North America and Europe to discuss research highlights and trends in the multidisciplinary field of photochromic compounds and materials. The field is inherently interdisciplinary requiring synthetic expertise in both inorganic and organic chemistry techniques as well as a variety of characterization methods that involve both linear and non-linear laser spectroscopy in chemistry and physics. Moreover, photochromic compounds and materials have genuine applications in biology and materials science. Aside from the International Symposium on Photochromics there is no other meeting dedicated solely to these interesting compounds and their applications.
