Since their first application to molecular dynamics in 1986, particle imaging methods have expanded widely to cover many new areas of chemistry and physics. At the same time, technical advances have increased both the spatial and time resolution of particle imaging methods so that they have largely surpassed and replaced former techniques.
This conference will cover Ion Imaging and Electron Imaging techniques with a focus on advances in the techniques and new applications. Examples of advanced imaging techniques include but are not limited to, high-resolution imaging, slice imaging, high magnification imaging, spatial as well as velocity/momentum imaging. Examples of application areas include but are not limited to, unimolecular dissociation, bimolecular scattering, photoelectron imaging (SEVI), dissociative electron attachment, atomic and molecular scattering from surfaces, visualization of high harmonic generated light, and monitoring ultracold samples in MOTs.
The conference will feature approximately 30 invited talks and five hot-topic talks as well as two evening poster sessions. Poster submissions should be sent to paul.houston@cos.gatech.edu with the names of the authors (with presenter underlined), a title and a short (half-page) abstract. These should preferably be in pdf format for later distribution. Hot topic proposals should be labeled as such to receive consideration for the few slots available. We hope that those hot topics not selected will still be presented as posters.
The list of speakers and poster presenters is available as a downloadable PDF attachment on this webpage. It can also be accessed via the following ink: http://www.cosbkup.gatech.edu/group/TalkScheduleAndPosterList.pdf
The conference registration fee includes a continental breakfast Monday through Friday. There will also be a BBQ picnic dinner with a cash bar on Wednesday night. The conference will open on Sunday night with a welcome reception and cash bar from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village.
