This workshop is a forum for presenting, teaching and discussing results from the application of state-of-the-art experimental (including, but not limited to, optical spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, XFELs, electron microscopy, AFM and scattering methods), and theoretical and computational approaches to studying protein dynamics.
The Les Houches-TSRC Protein Dynamics Workshop complements the long-standing TSRC Protein Dynamics Workshop, held every other year in the odd calendar years at the Telluride Science Research Center in Telluride, Colorado (see program of 2015 meeting). In Les Houches, about 30 invited speakers will give oral presentations that comprise a pedagogic introduction to the methodology employed, followed by applications from their own work. Each 30-minute presentation will be followed by 15 minutes of discussion. In addition to the 30 invited speakers, there will be space for 30 student/postdoctoral participants that can present posters.
The workshop will start on Sunday April 3, 2016 with dinner and end on Friday April 8, 2016 with lunch.

Register at TSRC ($60) before March 10th, 2016. The 30 non-speaker slots will be filled on a first-come first-served basis. Participants should be aware that some questions on TSRC's registration system may not be very relevant, as the Protein Dynamics meeting is the only TSRC-sponsored meeting held outside of Telluride, Colorado. Fees:
Workshop attendees (invited speakers and participants) are expected to contribute in total up to 460 Euros, for registration and housing (in a single room) with full-board during the five-days workshop, and to cover their travel expenses. $60 is expected to be paid upon registration (with TSRC) and an additional 400 Euros (depending on the funding situation) will be due with Ecole de Physique des Houches on the last day of the workshop.
Meeting venue:
The meeting will take place at the Ecole de Physique des Houches. The site, which has been in operation at its present location in the shadow of the French Alps since 1951, has a long tradition of hosting relatively small (< 100 attendees), focused workshops and schools in a secluded setting that stimulates intense discussion during formal presentations and promotes fruitful, informal interactions between all participants, including senior investigators, young investigators, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students.
How to get there:
The Ecole de Physique des Houches can be conveniently reached from Geneva Airport by shuttle-bus service within 80 minutes.
Accompanying persons:
There is a limited number of family rooms with an extra bed to welcome accompanying persons at an additional cost of 45 Euros (accommodation and full board). These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
